читать дальшеMornings have never felt so good.
Yes, indeed, no morning was pleasant enough until today when Sungmin, finally well-rested though still a little bit sleepy, exited the house barely a minute after waking up so that he couldn’t miss watching probably the most exceptional dawn in his entire life.
The countryside greeted him with velvety dew-wet grass and refreshing loam scent floating in the cool air. A soft breeze run through Sungmin’s hair causing a frail smile curve his lips, as brown eyes run over the rare landscape he was to see today.
Before him, the emerald carpet was expanding far towards the horizon where the slightly fogged navy mountains were touching the sky’s cloudy surface making the man feel especially small and insignificant. The sound of blasts howling could be heard from where he had been standing and the every small detail from a yellowed leaf to a tickle caused by a tiny beetle on his right feet made the relaxation recover in his heart.
Eyes still on scenery, Sungmin got down on the grass, resting the elbows on his knees and not minding spoiling the old pajama pants with damp stains or whatever; his only curiosity up to the moment was the eastern side along with its inchoate daybreak.
He waited in a daze, mooting silently with himself over the recent mistakes he had committed, mind somewhere up in the dull clouds. Therefore, when Kyuhyun had arisen in front of him all ghost-like with pale face and soft grey pajamas, Sungmin did not even blink.
“Hey! Don’t waste your once-in-a-lifetime chance to see the sun rising! Wake up,” Kyuhyun giggled while clicking his fingers in front of the elder’s face and then bringing him back to earth with a limp squeeze on the shoulder. Seconds later Sungmin’s dark eyes took on a fixed lugubrious stare set on Kyuhyun’s silhouette and Kyuhyun could not think of nothing better than to giggle again.
“Is that the little existential crisis of yours again? C’mon, can’t you stop thinking about it for, like, a minute?”
Sungmin sighed.
“The apprehension. It’s killing me. I shouldn’t have been predisposed to a scandal,” he exhaled loudly. “Fuck, Kyuhyun, just beat that shit out of me, swoop me, pummel me, leave me no time to think about it,” he pleaded in a colorless voice and Kyuhyun noticed how Sungmin’s hands had been tugging at the grass beside him out of anxiety. “I will never have this duly solved.”
Kyuhyun could only let a caring smile brighten his features as he took his place just near Sungmin.
“Well, you know, I’m in no position to judge but don’t you think you’re being a little too nervous here? Relax,” Kyuhyun leaned in and Sungmin answered a short pungent kiss he was given. “By the way I’ve been thinking of more interesting ways to “beat the shit out” of you rather than fighting, trust me on that.”
Sungmin snickered although came back to being serious once again.
“But-“
“The whole thing was way too controversial. You don’t even have any proper proofs and everyone seems to be happy with you dating a girl. Aren’t you supposed to be happy too?”
“The girl’s not you and that’s the problem.”
There was a tender silence but then Kyuhyun shook his head.
“Listen, I didn’t want to come here in first place but I still got you the night in some kind of nameless hamlet. We’re together for the moment, at the place you dreamt about and if you showed me a little of gratitude I’d be happy for another year even without the possibility to touch you in public again.”
“That’s not like that, I just didn’t want you to get in trouble-“
A red ray of sunlight grazed upon Kyuhyun’s cheek and Sungmin excitedly turned his face to where the morning sun had been rising with its glow lightening the deserted plain.
Sungmin heard the other going “oh” as he probably saw the gleaming red ball too, and snuck a sideways glance to look at the younger’s delighted face. Sungmin didn’t even bother if he let the chance to watch the dawn slip because stamping every detail of Kyuhyun’s painfully perfect face into his mind was much more of interest to him.
